Some of the many events are summer/fall movie night, fall fireplace gatherings on the grassy knoll of Wicker Park, the annual Easter Egg hunt with the Easter Bunny on the Town Square, Trick or Treat, Christmas decoration contests, Build a Gingerbread House with Santa, Memorial and Labor Day pool parties, along with a huge July 4th fireworks display, multiple concerts, on-site food trucks, dog day at the pool, not to mention countless impromptu gatherings of neighbors at the fireplace or other community gathering spots throughout the year.
There is a real sense of community in the Village. The residents are extremely friendly and willing to help each other, and everyone is always out and about and inviting everyone to join in. To live here you became part of the family and new residents’ comment that they immediately felt a strong sense of belonging. The best description of the Village is that it feels like you are watching an old movie where all the members of the neighborhood knew each other and the children by name and everyone helped each other and were proud to be a part of the community.
